Episode 1 A Dormant Genius Inside of Us

Listen to full episode:

Julia Bright, the host of the podcast will ask you the question: Do you believe you have a genius inside of you, a dormant one, waiting to be awakened from time to time? Or do you think becoming a genius is predetermined and nothing you can do about it? Perhaps if only your parents had had the right information on how to raise you to get the most out of you, to fulfill all your potentials, things could have gone differently? Society may not even be ready to deal with people that can live up to all their potentials. Schools are for the masses, they teach everybody the three R's, how to read, write and arithmetic, but they don't know how to deal with the ones that are different. The ones that are different are mistreated, misdiagnosed, misplaced. Who will help them find their own geniuses within?
Schools teach separate subjects, like math, chemistry, physics, history, geography, but they don't tell us how they are related, how human knowledge comes together and ultimately cannot be separated. It is our species complete knowledge. Natural sciences could be taught with humanities and they could show how math, music and languages are related in the brain.
Homo Sapiens means 'the human who knows, but we are pretty far from becoming wise in general. For that we need to understand ourselves from within, the world, find credible information through credible people, surround ourselves with people who will help us grow, stimulate our thinking. Our social and communicational cushion surrounds us all our lives, we need to take full advantage of it.
But we need to know how to build the foundation. First things first! We don't want to slide back and forth in life to progress and regress because we made mistakes we could have avoided in the process.
Julia will provide you with a map, a framework, a blueprint for this life-time work of ours. She will tell us what we need to take care first, without delay, day by day, diligently, so we can set goals and ultimately fulfill our purpose and live as long as we can. We don't want to suffer from diabetes and backaches, or obesity in our fifties and be invalid by our seventies if you could have helped it earlier in your life, right? That might have been the norm for our great grandparents, but not for us. Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of needs provides a great foundation to Julia's work. She expanded on it, added necessary skills and know how so we can all benefit from it the long run.
There is another problem that we need to rethink also. The way people have been communicating. Conversations are full of judgements, criticism, put-downs, insults, blame, comparisons. Everything must be good or bad, nothing can just be. So Julia will introduce Assertive Non-violent communication style. We need to relearn the way we listen to people, the way we respond, we need to memorize a brand new vocabulary to talk from the heart. Some extra humanity and empathy is very helpful for this kind of language.
No wonder Let Your Genius Emerge is under the umbrella of the Humanly Genius Project.
We hope you will enjoy the podcast and the transformation it offers in yourself, in your life.
